*While my last works may be unconventional, the design principles of composition, colour, and aesthetic storytelling remain the same, this will appear in lifestyle photography & packaging. Most of the examples include brands I've had the pleasure designing too.

Life, Styled.
A collection of lifestyle photography I planned, styled, and shot in-studio for Wholesale Solutions & Adulttoymegastore. I took the initiative to create this collection, as our image library was overly reliant on generic stock photos. This helps to authenticate the brand in normalising pleasure and wellness in day to day situations.

Key Responsibilities:
-

-
Product Packaging & Home Branding: Oversee packaging design, inserts, and manuals while managing the creative direction for home-brand products.
-
Customer Engagement: Develop retention-focused materials such as subscription boxes, thank-you cards, and surprise & delight items, alongside supporting email marketing campaigns.
-
Visual Brand Ownership: Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints.
-
Collaboration with Offshore Suppliers: Manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality packaging production and execution.
Core Skills:

Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced creative environment.

Exceptional organisation and project management to balance multiple priorities.

A strategic approach to combining creativity with commercial objectives.
-
A passion for pushing creative boundaries and delivering impactful designs.
This role allows me to blend strategic design thinking with hands-on creativity, shaping how the brand engages with customers both online and in-store. I thrive in this space, where every design element plays a role in enhancing the customer experience and driving the brand’s success.

I provided design and marketing assets to create and maintain a consistent, recognizable branding for Collective First National across signage, newspaper advertising, buildings, and vehicles. This role involved process documentation and products that adhered to company standards. Additionally, I supported the media team by assisting with photography and ensuring the smooth operation of the Collective Engine Room during busy periods.
After becoming a first-time mum, I began taking on small design contracts, which quickly grew into a part-time freelance business. I worked with a diverse range of clients, including builders, apiarists, beauty therapists, doctors, IT companies, marketing groups, Māori government organisations, editors, and new business owners. My projects spanned website design, magazines, social media content, and logos.
Beyond client work, I focused on refining my own marketing materials, keeping my website and proposals fresh, and maintaining relationships with past clients. The variety and balance were incredibly rewarding, and I loved using my design skills to help businesses thrive. My passion is to design for a company or industry I can truly support and put my heart into.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Collaborated with clients and account managers to define project goals and requirements.
-
Developed creative concepts tailored to each client’s objectives.
-
Estimated project timelines and provided detailed quotes.
-
Conducted research to inform design briefs and strategy.
-
Produced innovative designs within budget and time constraints.
-
Presented final concepts and revisions to clients.
-
Worked across various media, including photography, print, and web content.
-
Created print-ready layouts and artwork.
-
Stayed up to date with industry trends and design software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
-
Coordinated with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, web developers, and marketing specialists.

Flagmakers is a supplier of exterior signage, displays, and large-format print solutions. I was the Lead Graphic Designer in their Auckland office from January 2017 to May 2018. My role was a dynamic mix of pre-press and creative design, developing concepts for sales proposals, in-house marketing, and web content. I worked closely with the production and sales teams to ensure seamless execution while also providing customer service for walk-in clients.
I handled a wide range of client design requests across various products, balancing efficiency with creativity. Recognised for my enthusiasm and ability to work independently, I thrived in a semi-autonomous role where proactiveness was key to success. In addition to design work, I attended to showroom visitors, presenting products and solutions tailored to their needs.
I reported to the Production Manager in the Wellington office and maintained constant communication with the sales team to manage design approvals and address design issues. Working remotely strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively. While always maintaining professionalism, I was also a friendly and approachable presence for clients.
Ashleigh Cripps worked as our Lead Graphic Designer from January 2017 to May 2018. Her role involved pre-press and creative design for in-house marketing and client requests across various products. She was efficient, proactive, and worked well unsupervised in a semi-autonomous role. She also engaged professionally with staff and clients, presenting products and solutions in our showroom.

About Me
Pages of Chaos is my creative playground, built for bold brands and curious minds. I’m Ash — designer, ideas person, chaos coordinator. Whether you need design, branding, illustration or something a little unexpected, I turn the mess of ideas into something that actually works.
People come to me when their project feels overwhelming or their brand feels flat. I keep it simple, I keep it clever, and I make sure it stands out for all the right reasons.
Less overthinking, more scroll-stopping. Ready to stir up some chaos?
